When my family visited Okinawa last summer, our housekeeper Michiko-San (who comes by to restore order once every two weeks) asked where my family lived in the states. When we told her they were from Arizona, Michiko-San got excited and said her school-friend lived in Scottsdale and owned a sushi restaurant. She gave us the name and address for Hiro Sushi.

What are the chances?

Humans spend a great deal of time and energy drawing lines and boundaries—political, social, national, and cultural. We are often expected to color within the established lines.
But it sure seems like God is much more interested in connecting the dots of humanity. While I know there are times for boundaries, I sure hope I spend more time connecting dots.
